"Nearly 200 beauty, herbal and spa companies from 20 countries participated in the largest Indian Beauty Expo 2007 held from February 6 - 8 at Pragati Maidan," organised by CitiExpo Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. The CitiExpo Asia Pacific, organizers of the Expo, is based in Singapore.

The first of its kind held in India, the  India  Beauty  Expo 2007 had a special focus on the Spa
and  Wellness  industry.  This  is  in keeping with the global beauty trend as it shifts from skin -
deep  care  to overall wellness and from salons to spas. According to Ms Kendra Lee, " India
is  an  important  new  market  to  be  explored. Many international companies believe that the
demand  for  their  products  is increasing in India. The expo provided an opportunity to gain a
foothold in the market and also for Indian manufacturer's to strike collaborations."

The  exhibition  spread  over  an area of 4,000sqm & had 6 national pavilions from Singapore,
Turkey,  Korea,  Indonesia,  Europe  and Taiwan. The other participated countries were from
South East Asia, Middle East, USA and Australia. The B2B expo offered a platform to exchange business ideas as well as learn about new developments in the market and industry through seminars and workshops. During products and services demonstrations and seminars visitors were able not only to learn about neighborhood and global brands, but also to explore beauty novelties.

On display there were latest technologies and products, such as 4U cosmetics - a non surgical alternative to liposuction; B.E.A.M (Bio Electric Acceleration Management) for facial and body shaping. The demonstration of the latest international products included 24kt treatment for revitalization and the latest oxygen therapy to name a few.

Foreseeing immense potential in the Indian beauty market & the response in INDIA BEAUTY EXPO in Delhi, the CitiExpo plans to make the Indian Beauty Expo an annual event with plans of holding it in Mumbai, India next year 28 Feb. - 1 Mar. 2008. The buyers, sellers, exporters, importers, beauticians, who missed this exhibition in Delhi, must visit this exhibition in next year.
